艺术家简介

傅丹（Danh Vo）1975年出生于越南西贡郊外的巴里亚村。也就是在美越战争结束的那一年，他的家庭成为了紧接着爆发的柬越战争的受害者。在傅丹四岁时，他们乘船逃离了越南，他对自己在越南的童年没有任何记忆。他们在海上被一艘丹麦货船救起，之后定居丹麦。这段经历奠定了他之后的创作基础。

《纽约时报》艺术评论家Roberta Smith称他为“狩猎采集者”和“考古学家”，在时间的废墟中寻找被埋葬的历史。他的艺术力量往往源自这些物品背后所代表的故事。
