英国硕士学位的等级划分是怎样的？不同等级的具体要求是什么？本文将为您详细解析英国硕士学位的等级制度，帮助您更好地了解英国高等教育体系。
在英国，硕士学位的等级主要分为三个层次：Distinction（卓越）、Merit（优）和Pass（通过）。这些等级是根据学生的总成绩来划分的，具体标准如下：
- 50分（及格线）：学位等级为合格（Pass）
- 60-70分：学位等级为良好（Merit）
- 70分以上：学位等级为优秀（Distinction）

到了研究生阶段，英国同样采用百分制评分体系，但需要达到50分才能及格。也就是说，学生需要在平均分和毕业论文上都达到40分，并且修满180学分才能顺利毕业。其中，毕业论文占了60学分，因此只要学生平时上课正常跟上进度，不挂科，完成毕业论文，通常都能顺利毕业。
严格来说，英国的研究生教育并没有“挂科”这个概念。学生的最终学位证书是根据总成绩来划分等级的：
A、Distinction（卓越）
英国分数在70分以上，相当于中国成绩90分以上。学生需要在平均分数和毕业论文上都获得70分以上才能获得Distinction，这是成绩最优秀的毕业成绩。通常来说，获得Distinction的学生都是非常优秀的。
见上图的换算表，如果成绩在A5（70%）以上，就是稳奔Distinction的了。
以格拉斯哥大学为例，其官方说法：
"A candidate who has achieved at the first attempt a grade point average of 18 (equivalent to A5) or above for the taught courses and grade A5 or above for the dissertation or other substantial independent work will be eligible for the award with Distinction."
那就是，如果你想要毕业获得Distinction奖，至少需要：
- 平时课程的成绩等于或高于GPA18（相当于A5成绩）
- 毕业论文或其他等同作品的成绩等于或高于A5成绩
B、Merit（优）
英国分数在60分以上，相当于中国成绩80分以上。学生需要在平均分数获得至少60分，毕业论文至少获得60分才能获得Merit。硕士最终成绩在60%-69%之间，有些学校要求更高一些，即65%-69%，也就是成绩良好。
要获得Merit，以格拉斯哥大学为例，其官方说法：
"A candidate who has achieved at the first attempt a grade point average of 15 (equivalent to B3) or above for the taught courses and grade B3 or above for the dissertation or other substantial independent work will be eligible for the award with Merit."
那就是，如果你想要毕业获得Merit奖，你则需要：
- 平时课程的成绩等于或高于GPA15（相当于B3成绩）
- 毕业论文或其他等同作品的成绩等于或高于B3成绩
C、Pass（通过）
英国分数在50分以上，相当于中国成绩60分以上。学生需要在平均分数和毕业论文上都至少获得50分才能获得Pass，硕士成绩过硕士及格线50%即可。不过有些学校并没有Merit，把50%-69%统统算为Pass。
要Pass，以格拉斯哥大学为例，其官方说法：
"To be eligible for a Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip), the student must achieve a grade point average of at least 9.0 in the taught courses, with at least 80 of the credits at grade A–D. To be eligible to progress to the dissertation, the student must achieve a grade point average of at least 12.0 in the taught courses, with not more than 25% of the credits at grade E and none of the credits at grade G–H. To be eligible for the masters degree, the student must go on to achieve at least grade D3 in the dissertation."
简单点来说就是：要Pass，平时课程成绩和毕业论文都要等于或高于D3（GPA9）。而要能写毕业论文，就要求平时课程成绩要等于或高于C3（GPA12）才可以写。
低于50分的就不能获得硕士学位，而是一个叫做Postgraduate Diploma（成功修满120学分）或Certificate（成功修满60学分）的结业证书。只有达到50分以上拿到的毕业证书才是真正的硕士学位证书，其他的不管是Diploma还是Certificate都只是你读过硕士的一个证明，不是学位证明。
