计算机英文论文常见错误写作习惯2
非常长的句子
由于作者经常直接从中文翻译成英文，因此在汉英写作中特别常见非常长的句子。尽管在中文写作中可以接受在一个句子里放置多个支持性想法来展示它们之间的关系，在英语中，主要观点和支持性观点通常被写在不同的句子中。
人们通常可以根据句子长度来判断一个长句——60个单词或更多。然而，即使短句如果包含多个相互矛盾的观点也会显得过长。通过把每个句子的主题控制在1到2个之间可以避免过长的句子。分号应该用在作者真正想要强调思想关系的地方。

“In this paper”，“in this study”
当使用这些短语时会出现两个错误。第一个是过度使用。在一些用中文写的论文中，这些短语每页可以出现两次。在英国本土作家所写的论文中，这些短语主要有两种用途：
- 在引言和结论中强调了论文的内容。
- 在论文正文中，引用作者未完成的工作，如其他期刊文章或标准
因此，如果任何一个短语在一篇论文中出现超过三次，它的使用是值得怀疑的。实际上，读者知道所呈现的作品是由作者写的（除非作者另有说明），所以没有理由重复这些短语。第二个错误更为微妙。这两个短语互换了。
