美中眼镜度数对照

在美国，通常用Snellen视力表来衡量视力，这和国内用1.0这样的数字标准有点不同。它其实是在比较我们和视力正常的人，在多远的地方能看清楚同样的东西。
20/20的意思是，站在20英尺远能看见正常视力的人站20英尺远能看见的字（对应视力表倒数第三排）。与之相似， 20/70的意思是，站在20英尺远的地方才能看清，而视力正常的人可以站在70英尺远处就能看见（第二排）。
所以如果视力是20/20，就说明视力正常，如果是20/30就是视力比正常水平差，20/10就是视力很好！

中美视力换算大致如下：

20/20这里可以说：I have 20/20 vision. 念作 twenty twenty，斜杠不用念。

三种眼科医生

“Eye Doctor”，可能指的是三种不同的眼科医生，他们职责和能力有所不同。

1. 眼镜店里的“Optician”
   他们更像是眼镜配镜师，不是真正的医生。他们经过专业培训，擅长帮你挑选合适的眼镜框、镜片或者隐形眼镜，还会帮你安装和调整。不过，他们不能给你做全面的眼科检查，也不能开处方。在一些地方，他们甚至不需要特别的执照就能工作。

2. “Optometrist”——验光师
   验光师能做眼科检查和视力测试，然后根据你的情况开出配镜处方。但请注意，他们不能开药，也不能做眼科手术。
   成为验光师需要先在大学学习几年，然后再专攻验光学四年，获得博士学位。

3. “Ophthalmologist”严格意义上的眼科医生
   他们可是眼睛健康方面的专家，要经过多年的学习和实践才能成为。眼科医生不仅能做验光师的所有工作，有执照可以开处方药、进行眼科手术，解决各种复杂的眼睛问题。
