春节申遗成功，关于“春节”的翻译之争是否落幕？
春节是中华民族最重要的节日。12月4日，“春节——中国人庆祝传统新年的社会实践”通过评审，正式被列入联合国教科文组织人类非物质文化遗产代表作名录。
过去，关于“中国春节”的英文翻译一直存在争议。最普遍的翻译是Spring Festival，也有人倾向用 Chinese New Year来体现中国特色。还有人选择 lunar new year。
经联合国教科文组织确认后，“中国春节”的官方翻译确定为：Spring Festival。
联合国教科文组织将春节列入非物质文化遗产名录
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on Wednesday inscribed Spring Festival, socialpracticesof the Chinese people in celebration of the traditional new year, on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
联合国教育、科学及文化组织（UNESCO）于周三将“春节——中国人庆祝传统新年的社会实践”列入人类非物质文化遗产代表作名录。

The decision was made during the 19th session of theIntergovernmentalCommittee for theSafeguardingof the Intangible Cultural Heritage, taking place inParaguay (巴拉圭)from Dec 2 to 7. The committeerecognizedthe festival for its widearray (大量)ofrituals (仪式)and unique cultural elements thatengageall of Chinese society.
这一决定是于12月2日至7日在巴拉圭举行的保护非物质文化遗产政府间委员会第十九届会议上做出的。委员会因春节有着涉及整个中国社会的众多仪式以及独特的文化元素而认可了这一节日。

According to UNESCO’sdocumentation, the traditional knowledge and customs associated with the Spring Festival arepassed down informallywithin families and communities, as well as formally through the education system.Craftsmanshipand artistic skills related to the festival are transmitted throughapprenticeships (学徒工作), promoting family values, socialcohesion (凝聚), and peace, while providing a sense of cultural identity.

China’s vice minister of Culture and Tourism, Rao Quan, who led the Chinesedelegation (代表团)at the UNESCO session, expressed gratitude for the recognition.
